Aire is a Swedish energy-tech company. The company uses advanced AI and a virtual power plant platform to make weather-dependent energy predictable, profitable and climate-smart for the next generation. From batteries and hybrid parks to wind, solar, industry and hydropower, Aire’s software coordinates production, storage and demand. This ensures that each asset operates on the most valuable markets at the right time. In turn, it increases revenues for asset owners while supporting a stable and flexible energy system.
In the 2LIPP project, Aire contributes its expertise in digital energy management and AI-based optimisation of flexible energy resources. Aire’s energy management system integrates the project’s three storage technologies at the Bornholm combined heat and power plant and operates them as one hybrid asset. This enables efficient use of the existing power plant infrastructure, participation in relevant power markets and reliable delivery of heat and power – showing how advanced control can turn fossil power plants into flexible green assets.
