Bornholms Energi & Forsyning plays a key role in the 2LIPP project. It is at the old existing heat and power plant on the island of Bornholm it all takes place.

Heading towards a greener future is critical and Project Manager at Bornholms Energi & Forsyning Marjo Lahtimo expects that the technologies that are being explored in the project will be part of the future solution for energy supply. Storing green energy from solar panels and wind turbines and being able to use it when we need it is essential.

“We are part of the 2LIPP project because we want to be part of the green transition. It is important because, with the project, we can gain knowledge about the different energy systems and how they balance the systems,” she says.
