Gdańsk University of Technology (Gdańsk Tech) is ranked first as a technical and the second-best overall research university in Poland, according to the ‘Initiative of Excellence – Research University’, a competition held by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. It is the place where research and innovations are at the heart of everyone in the strive to become a recognised academic centre of Poland.
In the 2LIPP project, Gdańsk University of Technology has the primary responsibility for developing simulation models for individual plants within the project and other generic plants based on the size or fuel type, both before and after retrofitting with 2LIPP storage technologies. Another major objective involves implementing the innovative 2LIPP retrofit concept in utilities in Poland and Germany by creating an investment decision tool. This tool will guide investors in determining the feasibility and optimal approach for retrofitting their facilities.
